Clinical Psychology & Developmental Assessments in Petaling Jaya

Understanding Changes Everything.

When you understand what’s behind your child’s emotions, behaviour, learning, or development, you can know what to do next.

At Fed to Flourish, we help children and families make sense of what’s going on, build trust, and take small steps toward lasting progress.

It’s Hard When You Don’t Know What’s Going On.

You may be noticing:

  • Big emotions, meltdowns or difficulty regulating
  • Anxiety, worries or fears
  • Behaviour that feels difficult to understand
  • Attention or learning difficulties
  • Social or emotional challenges
  • Concerns about autism or ADHD
  • Developmental differences
  • Your child struggling at home or school
  • A feeling that something just isn’t clicking

You’re trying your best, but you’re still not sure what your child needs.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Understanding Changes Everything

Before we decide what support a child needs, we take time to understand the child.

Our clinical psychologists look at the whole picture-  your child’s development, behaviour, emotions, learning, relationships and strengths.

We don’t want a label to be the end of the conversation.

We want understanding to be the beginning.

Every child is different. We find their strengths.

The Process

A Clear Supportive Path Forward

1. Start with Understanding

Initial Consultation

Meet with our clinical psychologist to talk through your concerns and what you’ve been noticing about your child.

This first session is parent-only, giving you space to share your child’s background, developmental history, current challenges and what you hope to understand or address.

Together, we’ll make sense of the concerns and formulate a plan for what may be most helpful next.

2. Find the Right Support

A Plan That Fits Your Child

Every child is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

Based on the initial consultation, our clinical psychologist will work together with you to recommend the next step-  whether that may be a psychological assessment, therapy, or another form of support depending on your child’s needs.

We’ll explain the reasons behind the recommendation and make sure you understand your options before moving forward.

3. Take the Next Step Together

Assessment or Therapy With Ongoing Support

Depending on the plan, your child may complete an assessment or begin therapy.

Throughout the process, we work together with parents to understand what your child needs, support their progress, and adjust the approach when needed.

What This Could Look Like

Progress doesn’t always happen in one big moment.

Sometimes it looks like:

  • Understanding why your child is struggling
  • Knowing how to respond when emotions become difficult
  • Your child feeling more understood and supported
  • Making sense of learning or attention difficulties
  • Feeling more confident as a parent
  • Finding a clearer way forward

Small Steps. Lasting Progress.

Every Child is Different... We Find Their Strengths

Your child is more than a diagnosis, assessment result or behaviour.

When we understand how your child thinks, feels, communicates and learns, we can build support around who they are, not just what they are struggling with.

Understanding gives you somewhere to begin.

Without The Right Support...

You may keep second-guessing yourself.

Your child may continue to feel misunderstood.

Everyday challenges can feel heavier.

And you’re left wondering what you should try next.

You Don't Have to Do This Alone

With the right support, things can feel different.

We’ll help you understand your child, and take the next steps with clarity and confidence.

Building trust so your child can grow
